DIY Button Earrings
Buying a new pair of earrings is always exciting, but when you've made them yourself, there's something particularly special about them!

To get started you will need

  • A pair of buttons
  • 4mm earring backings and clasps
  • Jewellery glue
  • Cardboard

Select a pair of buttons

  1. Place them face down on a hard surface
  2. Place a small amount of glue in the centre of the buttons.
  3. While the glue is still wet carefully position one earring backing flat side down onto each button.
  4. Leave to dry for half an hour.

Now it is time to fashion a beautiful backing for your new creations.

  1. Cut your cardboard into small rectangles (big enough to fit both of the buttons.)
  2. When the glue has dried, pierce the earrings through the cardboard backing.
  3. To fasten, place an earring clasp on each backing.

The most important part - give your delightful creations a name. This will strengthen your bond with your new accessory!
