September saw another summer of music festivities get under way with Brisbane’s own ‘Sounds of Spring’ bringing a variety of musical tastes together.
The festival brought musical heavyweights such as The Living End, Shihad and the Butterfly Effect together with emerging acts equally as heavy; The Hungry Kids of Hungary, Children Collide, Dead Letter Circus and I heart Hiroshima. If that got too much for the thousands who attended, there were the musical talents of Little Birdy, The Panics and Josh Pyke to slow things down a little.
These various acts brought together people with very contrasting musical influences, so naturally this also meant their fashion wires were somewhat crossed. Of the thousands of people who attended, pictured are those that stood out from the crowd.
This festival proved those with a sense of grunge, style and individuality were also those wearing the some of the simplest clothing. These items, matched up with an item of flair, meant that their outfits were not over the top, they were the ones who stood out – without the need for a costume.
