The Beginning of the Madness

So after a few days of jetlag and a ridiculous amount of coffee I was back to work. As soon as I arrived I was taken to our new venue by my boss. London Fashion Week has always in the past been at the Natural History Museum in Kensington but this year we have moved to Somerset House and we're located in an old abandoned office block. When I first got there I was a little scared to say the least to see how we would turn it around and make it look fierce cause it literally is a building that totally should've been torn down a long time ago! Today, we moved on site from our offices in Oxford Circus. The crew that build the whole catwalk and all that technical stuff that I have no idea about got everything up pretty quickly.
I was in and out of the venue all day and ended up being called in to our pop up boutique on Carnaby Street to merchandise the store. Was pretty awesome as I got to see all the up and coming designers work and select what I thought would sell and get rid of what I thought was heinous and wouldn't sell. This is the 1st year we have a pop up boutique and in the basement we also have a cinema room where we are streaming the catwalk shows live. So anyone who can't get in to the shows can see it in our boutique. It's a pretty great business idea to get people in the boutique and also a real testament to show how technology is changing the face of fashion and how quickly we get to see shows. While I was in the shop I fell in love with these rings by Adela Straugh.
Been looking around London and checking out the style that all the cool kids are running. I'll be posting all the killler outfits I see over the next week. Loving these. Check out the England love for Doc Martins. Everyone seems to be wearing them. I'll also let you know what I'm wearing over the next week. Notice how all my outfit pictures are taken at night- that's because I don't finish work till 9pm! Tomorrow we're on site again and getting ready for Friday when the madness begins! This is the schedule for Friday-

12.30 On|Off Presents..
Joanna Vandepuije, Michela Carraro, Prose Studio, Yang Du
15.00 Ashley Isham
18.30 Bernard Chandran
20.00 Richard Sorger presentation

So excited and ready for what is always an exhausting yet amazing experience! Till tomorrow.

Oh and ps Christopher Kane for Topshop opens on Friday! Holy crap! I NEED to be there but woe is me I'm at Fashion week. Oh the pain. May have to sneak away to check it out really quick.
