Milk & Honey Facial Cleanser
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 teaspoons rose water
3 teaspoons brown sugar
Place all ingredients in a jar and shake to combine. Apply a small amount, the size of a 50 cent coin, to the face and neck. Massage in circular motions and then rinse with warm water. The remainder can be stored in the fridge for up to one week.
Mocha Body Scrub
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup instant coffee
3 drops of almond oil
Combine all ingredients in a container, and massage into the skin. Follow by rinsing with warm water. The scrub can be stored in the fridge for up to three months.
Mint Shampoo
2 tablespoons dried spearmint
2 tablespoons dried peppermint
1 tablespoon of dried sage
1 cup water
2/3 cup baby shampoo
Combine the dried herbs and water in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Let soak for 20 minutes and strain the herbs. Combine the herb water with the baby shampoo. Store in an airtight bottle.
Avocado and Olive Deep Hair Conditioner
1 whole large avocado
1/2 cup olive oil
Skin, de-seed and mash the avocado. Add the olive oil and stir to combine. Apply to towel dried, shampooed hair. Leave in for up to 20 minutes and rinse in warm water until the water runs clear.
