Someone who has taken the blogging world by surprise is Karla Deras from ‘Karla’s Closet’.
This nineteen year old fashionista knows her Louboutin’s from her Givenchy Gladiators, and never fails to impress with her sophisticated style.
Karla’s closet is one of those blogs you stumble across when trawling through hundreds of online sites looking for inspiration, and once you have your first fix you can’t get enough.
She not only posts about innovative and talented designers, her favorite being the Late Yves Saint Laurent, but also shows off her great style, and shoe collection!
Karla lives in Simi Valley, California and studies at The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, so it comes as no surprise she lives and breathes fashion.
Her signature look is a pair of killer heels and a sexy structured Blazer, often found from one of her favorite thrift stores in L.A.
With this great style she decided to show it to the world in the form of an online blog.
“I had developed this foolish habit of checking my favorite blogs every morning and night so I figured that I might as well create my own,” says Karla.
Fashion followers from across the world are happy she did.
She only started the blog, Karla’s closet, in April this year and has already been featured on the sought after ‘Girl of the week ‘ section on teenvogue.com, among other must see sites.
But, Karla isn’t letting the ‘fame’ thing go to her head.
She is unaware that she is referred to as the ‘next big thing’ in the blogging world, and is very modest about her many fashion followers.
“I do enjoy blogging as much as I enjoy looking at other blogs..my all time favorite blogs would have to be The Sartorialist and Garance Dore,” Karla says.
And as for the future of Karla’s closet, this stylish little lady will keep on inspiring.
