A ‘T’ For Every Occasion

Instead of following the ‘typical’ trend of drinking a cup of Joe a day why not mix it up and embrace the healthy alternative. Get T’d.

Tea has been used for centuries to protect against disease and health benefits can be quite significant, especially if you don’t add any nips.
With T2 taking Australia by storm, it’s about time to get on the T train.

Peppermint
Good for stress relief and helping stomach and digestive issues.
It can help ease nausea and vomiting, reduce heartburn, clear cold congestion as well as fight stress.

Chamomile
Contains so many calming properties you won’t know yourself. It can also help with inflammation as well.

It’s been labeled the medicinal cure-all; chamomile tea can help boost the immune system and fight infections, provide relief for muscle pain and relax nerves.

Green
Green tea is known for its anticancer and antioxidant effects. Drinkers of it appear to have lower risk of protracting a wide range of diseases, from simple viral infections to chronic health problems.

Traditionally green tea has been used to improve heart health, mental processing and improve digestion.

Lemongrass
Frequently used due to its calming properties. It also helps reduce fevers, stomach cramps, digestive issues and easing arthritic pain.

Chai
Chai is full of antioxidants from the tea leaves which help boost the immune system and prevent illness. Spices are added to enhance taste and improve health properties.

Typically sweetened with milk and honey and is used as a substitute to coffee. Spices include cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, cardamom and pepper.

Ice Tea
A refreshing tasty drink for summer much better for you than soft drink!
Recipe:
4 tea bags (can be any kind but orange pekoe is good)
2 cups hot water
Ice cubes
Caster Sugar
Lemon juice and slices

Squeeze tea bags until at required strength. Remove.
Add sugar to taste
Add lemon juice to taste
Add ice cubes
Chill in fridge until ice cold then add lemon slices
