Catherine Nimmo’s collection portrays elegant fun, and was inspired by architecture and the panelling of delicate butterfly wings. Clean lines and vivid colours of black, cream, purple, and orange are used in her collection of eveningwear and racewear designs.
Catherine aims to design collections that are classic and timeless, but also interesting and quirky. She has always been interested in fashion design and making her own clothes. She is now focussing on directing these interests towards a future career. Her friends and family are extremely supportive towards her endeavours, especially her mother who is also a keen sewer. Catherine’s ultimate goal after university is to create beautiful dresses in beautiful fabrics. She has extensive retail experience and has spent some time as a product developer, and working in a small boutique.
