On the verge of graduating, fashion student Kate Wilson has based her latest collection on the works of Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi. Kate’s stunning new collection was enthused by the application of colour and shapes, particularly those found in stain glass windows. Her collection oozes a resort vibe and utilises sheer fabric, panelling and printed fabrics in a variety of navy, orange and purple colours. These ultra luxurious features are combined to create an exceptionally unique and feminine compilation. Her artistic designs, and ability to create wearable garments, allow her to produce a label that is both unique and practical.

Kate does all of her designs at home, usually in the middle of the night, and her manufacturing takes place in the fashion studios at QUT. Her research, inspiration and sketching is a simultaneous effort, which often amalgamates after a creative brainwave or enticing stimulus. Kate hopes her degree will lead her to become a Sales Manager or Creative Director. She has previously done work experience with Kirrily Johnston, Easton Pearson and George Wu, which Kate believes will greatly assist her in future endeavours.
