Annerley

Annerley is a popular suburb close to the city with a mix of character housing and modern townhouses and businesses. Spend an hour or two exploring the secondhand and antique stores at the main Annerley shopping precinct along Ipswich Road and pick up some great retro fashion bargains at the Lifeline store.

Balmoral

Balmoral is a beautiful suburb in Brisbane's east, sitting just back from the river. There are many small shops around Balmoral and you’re close to Oxford Street – the café and retail centre of Bulimba. There’s also Morningside Central on the corner of Junction and Wynnum Roads.

Brisbane CBD

The Brisbane CBD has boomed, becoming home to a multitude of retail stores. To save you the endless searching, we've hand picked the treasures hiding in between the major chain stores. Bulimba

Bulimba is a popular riverside suburb on the Brisbane River with Oxford Street a hub of café, restaurant and unique shopping experiences. Funky lounge-style coffee shops, modern cinemas and a laid back, cosmopotian atmosphere. A short stroll down Oxford Street brings you to Oxford Park, CityCat services and the popular local shopping centre.

Capalaba

Capalaba is about 16km from the Brisbane CBD. Several small outlets are located within and nearby Capalaba, with the Carina shopping complex only a short drive away.

Coorparoo

Coorparoo, named after the aboriginal word Kulpurum for Norman Creek is one of Brisbane's older suburbs with many historic buildings still in existence. Since its beginnings Coorparoo has always been well served by public transport and has a number of major shops along Old Cleveland Road.

Fortitude Valley

Fortitude Valley is the fashion hub of Brisbane. ‘The Valley’ attracts people from all walks of life so it means it’s not only a great shopping experience but a cultural one too. Stand out shopping strips include Brunswick Street Mall, the trendy James Street precinct and the Ann Street Emporium. At James Street you can find the iconic Brisbane label Sass and Bide, or if shoes are your thing try Gary Castles, it will not fail to impress! For a hit of fashion, lifestyle and culture, head to Fortitude Valley to get your fix.

Hawthorne

Hawthorne is a beautiful riverside suburb, close to the CBD and with its own CityCat stop, making the journey to work an easy boat ride on the lovely Brisbane River. There are no major shopping centres in Hawthorne, but there are small retail shops throughout the area.

Mitchelton

There are plenty of small local shops in this area, and Brookside Shopping Centre is close by. You’ll be able to get everything you need without leaving the area.

Morningside

Morningside residents are close to both the city and the beautiful riverside suburbs of Bulimba and Hawthorne. Wynnum Road runs through Morningside and there's a street-level shopping area with a lovely village feel in this predominantly residential area. There are no major shopping centres in Morningside, but there are local shops on Junction Road and on Thynne Street.

Mt Gravatt

The suburb is ideally situated for shopping and business from the nearby shopping centres and many large or specialty stores. There’s Central Fair Shopping Centre on Creek Road, Garden City on Kessels Road and Mt Gravatt Plaza on Logan Road. From general items to specialty items - all your shopping needs are well and truly covered if you live in this area.

New Farm

The inner city suburb of New Farm is the Australian flagship for urban renewal, transformed into a bustling arts, dining and entertainment precinct.

Norman Park

Norman Park in Brisbane's east is a residential suburb handy to schools, shopping centres and other facilities. It has its own railway station and is close to the city and river. A few houses even have riverside frontages.

Paddington

Paddington was often the place known for its laid back, ‘old charm’ style. Famous for its antique stores and gorgeous Queenslander homes transformed into shabby chic boutiques and tea rooms, Paddington is changing. It hasn’t lost its charm, but is starting to experience a bit of a coming-of-age. Bars and boutiques are constantly popping up and there's a sudden change from the once sleepy suburb.

Red Hill

With city views and so close to the CBD, Red Hill is a popular suburb with a unique character and instantly recognisable features such as the high set old Queenslander houses on "stilts" which frequently amaze interstate and overseas visitors to Brisbane.

Sandgate

Visiting Sandgate with its historic buildings and bayside charm is like stepping into another place and time. There’s good local shopping on Brighton Road and on Beaconsfield Terrace.

Southbank

Checkout South Bank Markets open every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. Or Wandering the streets filled with fashion stores and experiencing the food and culture will give you a real feel of the South sides lifestyle. Stones Corner

Stones Corner today is one of Brisbane’s most popular shopping precincts specialising in factory outlet fashion. If you’re into factory outlet shopping and after a bargain you’ll be in paradise!

West End

West End is one of Brisbane's most diverse and interesting suburbs. Boundary Road in West End has a shopping precinct where you can find everything from designer clothes to bulk produce. There’s also the West End Markets with all you’d expect to find in a shopping centre

Woolloongabba

An inner city suburb, Woolloongabba is well served by transport with both the south east busway and south east freeway. Stanley Street is the home of Woolloongabba shopping and you’re surrounded by suburbs that offer further options. Head to Fairfield Gardens or Greenslopes Shopping Centre – they’ll have everything you need.

Wynnum

The place name Wynnum is derived from the Indigenous name for the pandanus palm. Local attractions include the model train rides with the Live Steamers Group on Wynnum Road, the Wynnum Golf Club and the free concerts at Bandstand Park.
